The biggest commercial banks of Georgia said that they will continue to comply with international sanctions requirements.

“We remain in compliance with the international sanctions imposed by the United States, the European Union and the United Kingdom. Today, as yesterday, we are in compliance with the sanctions”, - said TBC Bank.

According to Bank of Georgia, regardless of the decision of the National Bank, they will continue to comply with the requirements related to sanctions: “We comply with and will continue to comply with the requirements related to the sanctions of the USA, the European Union and the United Kingdom”.

The National Bank of Georgia made an exception regarding the citizens of Georgia in the procedure for the implementation of the sanctions regimes. The only citizen of Georgia, who is under international financial sanctions, is the former Prosecutor General Otar Fartskhaladze.
