The problems that exist in the UNM, unfortunately, did not allow many people to continue our activities there, said Khatia Dekanoidze, a member of the political group EuroOptimists, while commenting the statement of the former Chairman of the United National Movement Nika Melia, according to which they will gather on October 7 and inform the public about the platform from which they will fight against the Government.

“A few months ago, I left the party precisely because of the problems that Nika Melia is talking about. I think that unity is important, but not ephemeral unity, which implies the automatic integration of people who disagree with each other.

I can’t tell you what unity will look like, personally, if you ask me, I can’t see it anymore Melia in the UNM, because the problems that exist in that party, unfortunately, didn’t allow many people to continue our activities there, and for me it was a very sad decision.

I think it is important that Nika Melia and many people who are in the party, and it will probably be not only Nika’s decision, make their decision about how to continue their activities. I believe that unity around a goal is important”, - said Khatia Dekanoidze.
