Salome Zourabichvili, the President of Georgia, met with the representatives of the opposition to discuss the recent developments in the country.

“We talked about the worst situation in the country. The worst thing happened, a former representative of the Government was sanctioned for espionage. Our Government has decided to sabotage not only our European future, but also the Western sanctions regime and thus put in danger every citizen of Georgia who uses the banking system and is a citizen of this country.

Through sabotage, Georgian Dream threatened the European future of this country. On the other hand, by its own decision, it put every citizen of Georgia under threat to cover up Pardskhaladze, who is sanctioned for espionage.

The country is facing serious challenges, therefore, it is clear that we had a conversation with the President about all these challenges and threats”, - said one of the leaders of Lelo, Salome Samadashvili.

“The President is doing everything, of course, she is advocating Georgia’s candidate status, and she shared this information with us. We also told her our position regarding Otar Partskhaladze’s [former Prosecutor General] citizenship. She will make a statement in this regard. The position of the President will probably become known in connection with the impeachment and the citizenship of Partskhaladze”, - added Khatia Dekanoidze, a member of the parliamentary political group Eurooptimists.
