European Union leaders should finally live up to promises made over the past 20 years and pave the way for Western Balkans countries to join the bloc, said the German Chancellor, at the 3rd European Political Community Summit meeting in Granada.

“It’s above all about the EU’s enlargement. We know that it’s our intention to finally accept the Western Balkans countries in the European Union after 20 years of promises. We also have such plans with Moldova, and Ukraine, and perspectively also with Georgia”, - said Olaf Scholz.
