Regulator reveals 258 facts of illegal pharmaceutical activities in 2023

The Regulation Agency for Medical and Pharmaceutical Activities revealed 258 facts of illegal pharmaceutical activities at 62 pharmacies in 2023.

The Agency determined the pharmacies sold psychotropic drugs without a prescription.

The law violation facts were submitted to the Court.

Besides, the Regulation Agency cancelled permits for 14 authorized pharmacies and terminated activities to 2 drug stores for a 3-year term.

The afore-mentioned illegal pharmaceutical activities, depending on the severity of the violation, are subject to a fine of GEL 6 000 to 16 000.

Also, the Investigative Service of the Finance Ministry was notified about law violation.
