The Prosecutors Conference in Tbilisi will elect today 5 new members of the Prosecutors Council.

Irakli Shotadze, the Prosecutor General, spoke at the event about the primary activities of the Prosecutors Council, established in compliance with the European Commission recommendations in 2015.

As Shota Tkeshelashvili, the Prosecutors Council Chairman, said the elected members will support prosecutors and investigators in their activities: “They should contribute to the work of the Prosecutor’s Office. The agency has an enormous challenge in this regard”.
