The Prime Minister of Georgia will be a keynote speaker at the work panel Transport Corridors of the Global Gateway Forum hosted by Ursula von der Leyen [European Commission President], in Brussels. The event would discuss the EU’s proposal for investments in connectivity, health, education and research systems across the world.

The Global Gateway is a European strategy designed to boost secure connections in digital, energy, and transport sectors, also to strengthen healthcare, education, and research systems around the world.

The strategy is fully in line with the UN’s 2030 Agenda, its Sustainable Development Goals, and the Paris Agreement. The strategy seeks to mobilize up to 300 billion euros in investments to finance priority directions.
