Georgia, as a stable, interesting and dynamically developing economy, is attractive for investors, the Vice Prime Minister, Minister of Economy Levan Davitashvili said at the Tbilisi Silk Road Forum.
“Due to the pandemic, in previous years we were unable to hold the “Tbilisi Silk Road Forum”, and today, in the post-pandemic period, the interest is very high, like never before. We have more than 2,000 participants, representatives from about 50 countries have come, and it"s not just the participation of high-level political officials, but we see very active business engagement.
The interest in the forum is especially increased in 2023, which indicates that the role of Georgia in general is growing in the region. Georgia, as a stable, interesting and dynamically developing economy, is attractive for investors, it is a favorable environment for doing business, and I am sure that many successful deals between businesses will take place within the forum, and there will also be very interesting discussions by politicians on this or that topic.
You know we cover many areas - transport, Middle Corridor perspectives, trade related issues, finance and many more that we will discuss in the forum. I really hope that the forum will be successful and will further promote Georgia. In Georgia too, important economic issues should be discussed and decisions be made at a high level, and I think we have the potential to do so”, - said Levan Davitashvili.
