The Minister of Sports attended the first historical competition of the Georgian national handball team at the European Championship.
The Georgian handball team is competing in the final stage of the current European Championship in Germany. The 2024 European Championship is historic for the national team, as Georgian handball players are at the championship of the continent for the first time.
The team held its first match against the Netherlands national team and lost 29-34. It should be noted that Giorgi Tskhovrebadze, who scored 9 goals, was named the best player of the match. Tite Kalandadze’s team will hold the next meeting of Group E against the current European champion - Sweden on January 13, and against Bosnia-Herzegovina on January 15.
