Several days before the International Gastronomy Congress, Madrid Fusion’s Facebook page published a message about Georgia.
With an image of Sighnaghi, a popular tourist destination at the heart of the country’s wine-growing region of Kakheti, the fair’s social media channels are highlighting the Guest Country of this year’s event.
“Georgia, a guest country at Madrid Fusion. A fusion of tradition and creativity! Georgia – Where Hospitality Is The Main Course”, - reads the information.
The Georgian National Tourism Administration said the fair, set to run on January 29 - 31, would showcase culinary attractions from countries ranging from Switzerland to Argentina and Colombia to South Korea, alongside Georgia. Guests will taste Georgian dishes and wine. The Congress will also host masterclasses and discussions.
The Madrid Fusion International Gastronomy Congress has been held annually in Madrid, Spain, since 2003.
