Members of the Parliament of Georgia met with residents living near the occupation line in Shida Kartli

The First Vice-Speaker, Giorgi Volski, and MPs Mikheil Sarjveladze, Greta Tsitsava and Alexander Tabatadze visited the Enguri Bridge and the village Rukhi at the occupation line in Samegrelo and met with the local population to hear about their needs and states of right.

The meeting was organized by the Human Rights and Civil Integration Committee within the Action Plan 2024, envisaging the scrutinization of the needs of the population residing at the occupation line and due response thereto within the competence.

MPs intend to further meet with various groups. The meeting today was held with the support and participation of the State Trustee to Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti, Giorgi Guguchia, and the Mayor of Zugdidi, Mamuka Tsotseria.
