The Government of Georgia has repeatedly stated that the 2024 parliamentary elections should be held in accordance with high European standards, in the most transparent and competitive environment. Such a statement made today the Minister of Foreign Affairs.

“The government of Georgia, according to the commitment made in accordance with the 9 points, has already sent an official letter to the OSCE, namely to ODIHR, and invited international observers.

Georgia is ready to support the effective performance of their functions by the observers.

The Government of Georgia expressed its readiness to support the observers as much as possible in order for them to exercise their rights and duties in Georgia.

We confirm once again that we will do everything in order for ODIHR observers to have the opportunity to observe the Georgian elections, it is in the interest of our Government that the 2024 elections be as outstanding as possible”, - said Ilia Darchiashvili.
