The OSCE/ODIHR mission is expected in Tbilisi to observe the 2024 parliamentary elections.

The Government of Georgia already invited representatives of the OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights (ODIHR). In particular, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs sent a letter to Matteo Mecacci, Director of the OSCE / ODIHR, inviting election observers.

According to the opponents of the ruling party, the visit of international observers to the country is important because it will increase the credibility of the elections.

“The presence of the mission at the elections will protect the principle of fair elections in the country”, - says the Georgian Dream.
