When I visited Tbilisi, I was struck by the high number of European Union flags everywhere in the streets. Such a statement the EU High Representative said at joint press conference with the Prime Minister of Georgia and the European Commissioner for Neighborhood Policy and Enlargement.
“I though it was for me, but no, it was before me coming and after me leaving, and it shows the strong commitment of to the European Union of your citizens. And you have the responsibility to deliver on these expectations.
And we have also the responsibility to seize with you this historic opportunity and step up our efforts for Georgia becoming a member of the European Union, to increase your resilience, in full respect of your independence and sovereignty and territorial integrity”, - said Josep Borrell.
