I am very glad that the Prime Minister’s first visit is to Brussels, where he is today to talk about Georgia’s EU candidacy - Robin Dunnigan

I am very glad that the Prime Minister’s first visit is to Brussels, where he is today to talk about Georgia"s EU candidacy. Such a statement made today the US Ambassador to Georgia.

“Georgia-US strategic partnership is extremely strong and it goes across a range of disciplines from security to education, healthcare, to people-to-people ties that are extremely strong. It is our one of top priorities to support Georgia in its transition to becoming an EU country. We want Georgia to be a member of the EU.

One of the first things that I did when I arrived in Georgia was to go back to Brussels to talk to the European Union about Georgia’s candidacy. And I am very pleased that that was the Prime Minister’s first trip, as the Prime Minister, to Brussels. I hope that in the years ahead we see Georgia become a member of the EU”, - said Robin Dunnigan.
