The President of Georgia remarked on the ruling party’s recent move to reintroduce the Law on the Transparency of Foreign Influence, saying “Georgian Dream said “no” to Europe in all directions”. Salome Zourabichvili believes “the Georgian Dream is engaged in sabotaging Georgia’s European path and the future of the country”.

“No and no - obviously, depolarization. Because, on the contrary, the entire society is provoked to aggravation, this is served by all initiated laws, be it provocative on LGBT or today, the second introduction of the Russian law. As if everything repeats itself in history.

All this is a direct challenge to our own people, at the same time to our partners, who gave you the candidate status in advance.

They expect from us a sincere expression that we are going on this path, there is a political will to walk on this path.

What is the purpose of the challenge? To cause chaos, destabilize and everyone is baptized as a radical, a foreign agent, a supporter of the war party and so on. These are very well-known techniques, some of us have gone through them many years ago, nothing new under the sky. Therefore, the society is prepared for all this, no one can divert it from its path”, - added the President.
