The National Agency of Public Registry cancels conservative, pro-Russian Alt-info party

The National Agency of Public Registry [NAPR] has canceled the conservative, pro-Russian movement/Alt-Info party. The decision is reflected on the website of the public registry.

The examination of the legality of the party’s registration was launched on the basis of the appeal to the Anti-Corruption Bureau of Georgia.

As it revealed, the party statutes had not been adopted by the party’s congress, which was required by the current Georgian legislation.

Founders of the Conservative Movement party in 2023 submitted the application to the NAPR requesting the registration of the new domestic political party. The submitted documentation was incomplete and the NAPR requested to correct the deficiencies in the party’s documentation.

The founders of the party resubmitted corrected documentation in December, including a new version of the party’s statutes to the NAPR.
