The Speaker of the Parliament of Georgia, Shalva Papuashvili, held a meeting with the President of Turkmenistan, Serdar Berdimuhamedow.
During the meeting, they underscored the productive cooperation between the two countries, both bilaterally and within international organizations, highlighting the enduring friendly relations. Special attention was given to the significance of trade, economic, and transport-logistics cooperation, as well as the advancement of joint regional projects.
Shalva Papuashvili expressed gratitude to the President of Turkmenistan for the decision to unveil the monument of Shota Rustaveli in Ashgabat, emphasizing its role in further strengthening the bonds between the two peoples. In turn, Serdar Berdimuhamedow reiterated unwavering support for Georgia"s sovereignty and territorial integrity.
The meeting took place as part of Shalva Papuashvili"s current official visit to the Central Asian region, accompanied by a parliamentary delegation.
