NBG to issue GEL 5 gold and silver coins dedicated to the historic achievement and qualification of national football team for the UEFA 2024 Euro

The National Bank of Georgia [NBG] will issue GEL 5 gold and silver coins dedicated to the historic achievement and qualification of the Georgian national football team for the UEFA 2024 Euro.

The NBG cooperated with the Georgian Football Federation on the design that would match the symbolics and brand book of the national team.

One side of the coin will reflect the team’s logo, the main symbol horse-rider (prototyped St. George fighting with a dragon), and the phrase “I am Georgia.” The other side of the coin will be a T-shirt of the national team. The coin will depict inscriptions in Georgian and English languages and the issuance year.

The coins will be produced at the Lithuanian Treasury and will be in circulation at the end of 2024.
