The US Embassy congratulated Georgia on its “amazing” win and “great” game against Portugal and said the Georgian national football team continued to show its unbroken spirit.

“The Georgian national [football] team continues to show its unbroken spirit! Congratulations on this amazing win and great game. We are celebrating with all the fans of Georgia”, - says the Embassy.

The Georgian national football team defeated Portugal with a score of 2:0 in the final match of the group stage of the ongoing European Championship and qualified for the Round of 16.
