The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia hosted the representatives of the embassies of the EU member states and partner states.
According to the Ministry, a presentation was organized in the Ministry, which refers to the implementation of the 9 steps defined for Georgia in the European Commission"s communication on the enlargement policy.
“Also, complete information was provided regarding the implementation of both the Association Agreement and the Free Trade Agreement, as well as the obligations we have taken as a EU membership candidate country, which we faithfully follow.
We hope that this commitment and activities carried out by our country will be assessed positively during the year, and further steps by the European Union and our European partners will be adequate and corresponding to the results that our country shows and makes in this direction.
I really hope that Georgia, as one of the truly progressive states among the candidates in the enlargement package, will be assessed accordingly and the goal will be achieved, which is, first of all, the opening of the accession talks with Georgia and then its full integration”, - said the Deputy Foreign Minister, Teimuraz Janjalia.
