Salome Zourabichvili’s lawsuit filed in the Constitutional Court [CC] regarding the law on transparency of foreign influence is just a waste of time. Such a statement made today the Mayor of Tbilisi.

His comments followed after the CC started considering a lawsuit related to the suspension and repeal of the Law on Transparency. The President, the non-governmental sector and the opposition MPs demanded a complete suspension of the law from the CC.

“It’s just a waste of time, nothing else. Because the said bill, which envisages and requires only transparency, how it can be bad, how it can contradict either the European constitution or European values. It is inconceivable. This is simply a continuation of the dirty campaign we have seen in recent months. As if by adopting this law we would wake up in Russia. A lot of nonsense has been said about this bill”, - said Kakha Kaladze.
