I call on the British Embassy to disclose whom and with what amount it funded in connection with the 2024 parliamentary elections, writes Speaker of the Georgian Parliament on his Facebook page.

“Following the statement made by the British Embassy, it was revealed that the embassy intended to fund partisan propaganda and extremist politicians whose declared goal was to disrupt local elections. This reinforces the suspicion that this was not the first attempt to fund propaganda and extremism.

I urge the British Embassy to disclose who and in what amount it financed in connection with the 2024 parliamentary elections, and who it finances currently. I also apply to individuals who might have information about the British Embassy’s funding”, - writes Shalva Papuashvili
