A modern rehabilitation centre for children with Duchenne muscular dystrophy will be established in the capital. Such a statement made today the Mayor of Tbilisi.

"We held a number of meetings with the children's parents and discussed the existing needs in detail. For this reason, we decided to transfer a 1,657-square-metre plot of land in Gldani District to the organization "Together Against Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy" for the establishment of the rehabilitation centre.

Both regular medical and rehabilitation care and active participation in public life are important for children with Duchenne muscular dystrophy.

This will be a space where children with Duchenne muscular dystrophy will be able to receive comprehensive rehabilitation and educational services, which will significantly contribute to their socialization and development", - said Kakha Kaladze.
