The Roads Department of the Ministry of Infrastructure of Georgia has announced an electronic tender for the rehabilitation of the km5-km12 section of the domestic Khashuri-Surami-Rikoti tunnel bypass road.
This particular section passes through a densely populated area, and the existing road surface is heavily damaged. According to the project, it is planned to lay an asphalt surface and install artificial structures along the 6.8 km section. Additionally, the construction of a reinforced concrete wall on a landslide-prone section is planned. Culverts, junctions, intersections, entrances to residents` yards, and road signs will be arranged. Horizontal road marking works will also be carried out.
The project is financed from the state budget, and the estimated procurement value amounts to 27,698,647 GEL. The submission of tender proposals will begin on October 17, 2026, and will conclude on October 22, 2026.
