We are not imposing any bilateral sanctions on Iran - that would be absurd and wrong; we act in accordance with the established sanctions regime. The Prime Minister of Georgia said this in response to a question regarding the suspension of flights by Iranian airlines to Georgia.
"You know that we take sanctions regimes into account. Relevant sanctions were put into effect, and given that Georgia always takes sanctions regimes into account regarding various countries when specific institutions and states impose such sanctions, we also made a corresponding decision, about which the Ministry of Economy released a statement.
We take the sanctions regime into account. We operate in accordance with the introduced sanctions regime. We are not imposing any bilateral sanctions on Iran - that would be absurd and wrong. We act in accordance with the established sanctions regime", - said Irakli Kobakhidze.
