Taking the 7-month data as a whole, our economic growth stands at 7.9%, which means we are maintaining the momentum the country has possessed in terms of economic development since 2021. Such a statement made today the Prime Minister of Georgia.
As he noted, the economic situation in the region is generally not particularly favorable; however, against this backdrop, the country is managing to improve even upon last year’s high performance.
“Taking the 7-month data as a whole, our economic growth stands at 7.9%, which means we are maintaining the momentum the country has possessed in terms of economic development since 2021. Generally, the economic situation in the region is not particularly favorable, but against this backdrop, we are managing to improve even upon last year’s high performance. One of the main reasons for this is that we managed to completely eliminate corruption in the higher echelons of government, and the total eradication of corruption helps to sustain the pace of economic growth”, - said Irakli Kobakhidze.
