The Georgia Economic Development Corporation was created on the basis of consolidation and optimization, gathering within one institution a wealth of experience accumulated over the years. Such a statement made today Irakli Gabriadze, Head of the Economic Development Corporation.
As he noted, the mandate has also been expanded - the existing support mechanisms for small and medium-sized businesses will remain, but mechanisms for other segments will be added, such as direct loans, direct equity participation, involvement and investment in capital funds, the development of a factoring platform, and others.
“Our goal is to maintain the current rates of economic development, which requires a new, renewed approach and a broader, greater involvement of the state in the economy. This is precisely why the Georgia Economic Development Corporation was created - to offer this involvement and more support to business”, - added Irakli Gabriadzed.
