Parliamentary and non-parliamentary opposition will introduce constitutional changes to Venice Commission

Representatives of parliamentary, non-parliamentary opposition, ruling party and non-governmental sector will introduce their options to the Venice Commission representatives.
Opposition and third sector believe that the amendments on the elections of president and the Court system will be in final report.

Shalva Shavgulidze, a Chairman of Free Democrats believes that the most important between amendments is change of the election system.

" If the parliament will be elected according to fair electoral system, it will be appropriate if the president will be elected by them instead of universal elections. Bit if the unfair election rules will stay in the force and they will be just slightly changed, it means that the ruling party will appoint a desired person,"- Shalva Shavgulidze said.

Giorgi Gugava, a political secretary of the Labor party states that the initiative, proposed by the running party in regard to election system is "theft".
