Possible removal of Business Freedom Act from the Constitution and imposing regulations on selling land to foreign nationals is absolutely unacceptable for business community.

The representatives of business community came to the meeting with the Speaker of the Parliament organised at the initiatve of the Economy Ministry with their own arguments.

The business representatives view as the most problematic removal of certain points from Constitution Article 94 . Their main demand is to keep the obligation of the government to have a referendumto in connection with increase of taxes.

The position of the business circles is shared by the Minister of Economy. George Gakharia believes that the restrictions should not be imposed on the sale of lands . Irakli Kobakhidze still can not confirm whether the Constitutional Commission will share the position of the business community.

NGOs oppose the introduction of the regulation on the sale of land in the Constitution.
