Third sector does not welcome election of High Council of Justice judges by secret ballot

 

According to new amendments to the legislative regulations, the judges who have been serving a minimum of three-year term in various courts will not be appointed by the Council of Justice for a three-year probationary period.

According to the third sector representatives, the legislative body had to make these changes, as the court has demanded it. The third sector explains that voting in the Council of Justice will be secret, which, according to their estimation, is inadmissible.

Giorgi Beraia,of the Institute for Development of Freedom of Information (IDFI) states that the threat of striking clan deals is rising with secret ballots .
