The reason for the fire on the Eliava market area is unknown. Representatives of political parties visited Khosharauli Street. Among them is Tbilisi Mayoral candidate of "National Movement" Zaliko Udumashvili . He called on the head of the Didube district governor Irma Zavradashvili to reimburse the losses for the victims,to which the governor responded that she would not leave the people without aid.

According to Zaliko Udumashvili, the City Hall should first think about the help for the people.

"The primary task is to determine the reasons of the fire. Then the amount of damage should be determined and the City Hall should issue compensation for the victims. As for today`s fact, it is very suspicious that in a few months, two central markets had fires in Tbilisi, "- said Zaliko Udumashvili.
