The members of the ruling party explain the absence of Bidzina Ivanishvili at Kakhi Kaladze`s nomination as a Tbilisi mayoral candidate differently. Majority MPs claim that former prime minister had information about Kaladze`s presentation in Mtatsminda Park and was invited but did not attend.

Despite these explanations, during the presentaton of Kakha Kaladze the former Prime Minister has not been metioned even once in speeches.Bidzina Ivanishvili was not mentioned by the Prime Minister Giorgi Kvirikashvili either. The majority rule out that Kaladze and Kvirikashvili did not mention Bidzina Ivanishvili because of internal confrontation.

During the pre-election campaign, the former Prime Minister has appeared with Kakhi Kaladze several times. Kaladze was openly supported by Bera Ivanishvili, a close friend of the mayoral candidate. But afternomination of Kakhi Kaladze as mayoral candidate, Bera Ivanishvili has not expressed his support yet.

Whether the self-government election campaign will be held without Bidzina Ivanishvili the ruling team has no definite answer yet. The final decision of the former prime minister is likely to be known in early August.
