Big fires in fairs and markets - 11 fires in 5 years

Massive fires in Georgian fairs and markets. During the past five years, there were 11 fires in the country. Because of these incidents, the allegations were frequently heard about the specific business interests and intentional fires. As for the investigation, no case has been investigated at all.

15 November 2012 Fire in Lilo - destroyed 450 sq.m. Area. The loss has reached half a million.

February 26, 2013 Fires in the Saba shopping center. More than 100 shops were destroyed on 5 thousand square meters.

July 17, 2013, fire broke out in Tbilisi aqua park.

August 25, 2014 - The Senaki market was burned. 3 thousand square meters trading area was destroyed. More than 250 people were injured.

On September 16, 2014, a so-called gypsy market was burned. The fire was spread on 2500 sq. meters. Three people died.

December 7, 2014 - Fire at the Khopa market 600 square meters of land was burned. The fire broke out at the pyrotechnics store.

January 21, 2015 Fire in Isani Market 25 stores were destroyed.

August 4, 2015 Fire on Eliava market. Two people died.

August 2, 2016 Fire in Zestafoni Market - so called Black market - 1000 square meters area was completely burnt down.

30 January 2017 - Fire in the "Children"s World" shopping center. The building was completely burnt down.

2 July 2017 - Fire on Eliava market territory. Two sectors of the automobile market were burned.
