GYLA has prepared recommendations for the 2017 self-governance elections. The recommendations were made based on the violations revealed in the 2016 parliamentary elections.

Among them are facts of political agitation by political parties on election day, as well as the attack on political opponents, the third sector requests to improve the proceedings during the court election disputes.

"One of the challenges was to conduct elections in a calm and non-violent environment. Although there were no cases of mass violence, however, during the pre-election period and on the polling day, there were violent incidents a, "said Ana Natsvlishvili.
