Judge refused to cancel imprisonment of persons detained during March 11-12 events

The trial of detainees will be resumed on July 14, 2012 in Batumi. Today the court discussed the case of 6 persons.

The new judge Levan Gelovani got involved in the case. Attorneys discussed the possibility of plea bargaining. Part of the defense was demanding 6 months imprisonment for one year.

The court also discussed the detention as a preventive measure, but the judge did not satisfy the solicitation of the lawyers.
