Georgian National Communications Commission will discuss complaint against Public Broadcaster

Today, the National Communications Commission will discuss the complaint against the Public Broadcaster filed by the "Free Democrats-Republicans" bloc. It is about alleged social advertisements that are broadcast on the first channel.

"We are demanding to remove the ad from air, it is, as the broadcaster claims, a social advertising, but inreality it is a political advertising. Propaganda of the ruling team that speaks about one particular system and the advantages of this system. This is a political advertising, "- said Khatuna Samnidze, a member of the Republican Party.

In the advertisement, it is emphasized that within the framework of the constitutional reform Georgia will pass to parliamentary from presidential system and European parliamentary governance implies the indirect election of the president. Parties consder the advertisment to be biased and demandits removal from the air.

"The content of this video is that we are told that the sophisticated European system does not have direct presidential elections, which is certainly not, true and we will appeal it," - said Nino Goguadze, the political secretary of Free Democrats.
