It is not a prerpgative of the Security Councuil to hold a session in regard to creeping occupation

 

Irakli Kobakhidze, Chairman of the Parliament does not welcome the initiative to hold a session of the Security Council in regard to moving the occupation line . The Chairman of the Parliament considers that the issue of creeping occupation is not a prerogative of the Security Council.

The NGOs demand to convene the Security Council meeting. The secretary of the Security Council said in response that the decision to appoint a meeting will be accepted by the president .

Irakli Kobakhidze explains the authority of the Security Council and says that the Council discusses defense and military rissues.

"The Security Council, according to the Constitution, discusses defense and military issues. As for the creeping occupation, it is not one or these issues, , "said Irakli Kobakhidze.
