"It is a lie that the issue of majoritarian MPs was not discussed at all during public hearings," Mamuka Mdinaradze, the chairperson of the faction "Georgian Dream" made this statement while speaking about constitutional amendments in " Courier" today.

According to him, the members of the Georgian Dream team used to make statements about the introduction of the proportional system and that is why they have agreed on the transitional period.

"We could not touch the mixed system at all and it would be absolutely legitimate," Mamuka Mdinaradze said.

Giga Bokeria, one of the leaders of the Movement for Freedom - European Georgia has asked Mamuka Mdinaradze to name at least one compromise of the majority.

According to Mamuka Mdinaradze, "Georgian Dream" has gone to a number of consensus and today the opposition does not have any specific position on what are their demands.
"It is incredible impudence when a government official declares that he does not know what is the demand of the opposition," said Salome Samadashvili, member of the United National Movement.
