Convening a session of Security Council on creeping occupation - 9 NGOs waiting for the President"s decision

NGOs are waiting for the President"s decision regarding convening a session of the Security Council. The NGO sector asks President to convene a special session of the Security Council over Russia"s creeping occupation. Nine NGOs believe that the situation is alarming.

The civil sector demands to develop an anti-nuclear strategy and fully review the strategy of relations with Russia. After addressing the NGO sector, the Security Council said that they would hold consultations with the President .

Unlike the Security Council, the Prime Minister"s Crisis Management Council has not responded to the civil sector. "Courier" contacted Mindia Janelidze, the head of the council who refused from commenting the issue. .

The NGOs think that the government should negotiate with the partner countries in order to impose sanctions on Russia for creeping occupation. The civil sector believes that it is time to take radical steps.
