Afgan Mukhtarli`s wife asks to investigate the alleged surveillance of her and her spouse`s friend. According to Leila Mustafayeva, the incident took place in a cafe in Tbilisi about a week ago and they informed Georgian law enforcers about it.
The spouse of the journalist does not exclude that it may be linked to the kidnapping of Afgan Mukhtarli. Mustafayeva will hold a press conference today together with her lawyer and discuss the details of the incident and apply to the investigative agencies.
"A week ago I was in a café at Liberty Square, where I had been with my husband`s friend, and I left my place for a few minutes, and when I found out that I had a computer bag on my chair, an unknown man approached me and pointed to his bag and then left the café immediately. We found it suspicious and told the police about the incident requesting the investigation, "- said Leila Mustafaeva.
Afgan Mukhtarli"s friend, who was with Leila Mustafayeva, did not exclude that the bag was a listening device and the Azerbaijani security service used these methods against Mukhtarli.
We were looking for a quick investigation of this case, but we also know that when there is an Azerbaijan side in any action in Georgia, the attitude towards the case is different, "said Daggin Aghalarli.
