Opposition accuses the ruling team of institutional destruction of the Security Council. The case concerns the statements made by the leaders of the parliamentary majority, who say that discussion of the situation on the occupied territories and security of the country is not a prerogative of the Security Council.

The members of "European Georgia" state that the Security Council has already invited the government to form a strategy to combat the Russian occupation.

"This body does not exist because of the deliberate institutional demolition by the government over its years, not only on the paper but also in real terms. In a normal situation, the Security Council should have been invited for a long time ago and this strategy how can we combat our northern enemy should be worked out, "- Giga Bokeria says.

The National Movement assesses the actions of the government as a step taken against the national interests of the country.

"Under these conditions, all state agencies must be involved in order to minimize the damage. The attacks on the Security Council are irresponsibility and betrayal of national interests, " -Nugzar Tsiklauri said.
