200-meter line - Jioyev demands to forbid citizens of Georgia to get closer than 200 meters to the so-called border

Creeping occupation and Georgian citizens , who stay in the Tskhinvali prison- These will be the main topics raised by Georgian side at the meeting held in Ergneti today.
Murad Jioyev is attending the meeting of the Incident Prevention and Response Mechanism from the so-called South Ossetian government.

Before the meeting, Jioyev asked the OSCE Special Representative for the South Caucasus and Swiss Ambassador Günther Bächler to raise the issue of forbidding Georgian citizens to get closer than 200 meters to the so called border.

Jioev says that fixing the lines will remove unnecessary problems.

" They should not produce agricultural activities here. I understand that in our case 200 and 100 meters are decisive for the local population. It is difficult, but why not try to explain to the locals that they have not to come close and cross the line. And in order not to cross it, it is necessary to fix these lines. In this regard, the Incident Prevention and Response Team is responsible, we can not achieve this in Geneva, "Jioyev said.
The meeting continues for more than half an hour.

Kakhaber Kemoklidze, The deputy director of the State Analytical Department of the State Security Service, says that Tskhinvali"s de facto authorities consider that the only solution is demarcation work, which is a trap for the central government of Georgia.
