The visit of the "Alliance of Patriots of Georgia" to Russia and meeting with Duma lawmakers was criticized by the opposition. Representatives of the ruling party at this stage exclude setting up additional formats with Russia, however, the representatives of the opposition explain the meeting with Russian colleagues as the party agenda.

Deputy Chairman of the Parliament of Georgia, "Georgian Dream" Faction member ,Giorgi Volsky points out that, according to the strategy of the Georgian government , creation of any additional format in relation to Russia is considered to be too early.

"Based on the strategy that we have, I think that it is too early to create any additional formats for the state structures at all. However, there is a political party that has its agenda and as I mentioned it has its agenda and it is possible that all parties are trying to find some political niche, "- said George Volsky.

Giorgi Baramidze, a member of the political council of the United National Movement, criticizes the visit of the Alliance of Patriots to Russia and notes that they will not solve problems.

Giorgi Kandelaki, member of the parliamentary faction "European Georgia", refers to the "Alliance of Patriots" as a supplement to the ruling team.

"Alliance of Patriots" is known to be an alliance and a supplement to the "Georgian Dream", they come up with a joint position on all the important issues, "-Giorgi Kandelaki said.
