Law on occupied territories is not intended to be abolished - Ketevan Tsikhelashvili

Georgian Ministers have commented on Russian occupation after the session of the government. Members of the ruling team state that the law on occupied territories will not be abolished. However they do not rule out that certain amendments will be made to the law in the interests of the local population.

" Law on occupied territories is not intended to be abolished ,till our country is occupied. It is possible that in the future we will work on certain changes, which will be aimed at alleviation of living conditions for locals, because the principle of the law is - on the one hand, to have a legal instrument against the occupation. On the other hand its aim is not to take actions against the people, "- said State Minister for Reconciliation and Civil Equality,Ketevan Tsikhelashvili.

Georgian Foreign Minister, Mikheil Janelidze, has stated that Russia today is under international pressure due to aggression against Georgia.
