The Prime Minister met with Vice President of the European Commission Marosh Shevchovich


Giorgi Kvirikashvili , Prime Minister of Georgia met with Commission Vice-President for Energy Union in Batumi.


The main topics discussed during the meeting were the reforms implemented in the field of energy , energy security and energy independence, as well as full assimilation of the country"s transit potential.

According to the Government Administration , the sides have focused on maximizing the capability of renewable energy sources, the growth of clean energy and the importance of maximizing the country"s export potential.

The Prime Minister has noted that energy efficiency is one of the key directions of Georgia"s energy policy and has confirmed the readiness of the government to contribute to the reduction of emissions and to promote strong energy cooperation with the EU.
