An accident occurred on Aghmashenebeli Avenue, where a part of the façade of Jano Kakhidze`s music center fell off and hit a young girl.

The patient is in the reanimation department with severe injuries.

Architect of the building Leri Medzmariashvili remembers those years when Jano Kakhidze`s cultural center was rehabilitated.it took seven years the Cartu foundation of the former Prime Minister Bidzina Ivanishvili to complete the works started in 2003. The rehabilitation of the building was completed in 2010 and the cost has reached tens of millions.

The façade of the building is not safe now. The music center has cracks on all four walls. During rehabilitation of Aghmashenebeli Avenue in 2011, specialists considered that the newly restored by the Cartu Group cultural heritage building needed no renewal and only treated the surface of the façade.

Shortly after the incident, the district governor stated that the responsibility for the accident was on the former government which carried out rehabilitation of Aghmashenebeli avenue but the Gamgebeli did not mention that Cartu Group had rehabilitated the building before rehabilitation of the avenue.
