According to the Azerbaijani news agency, at the order of the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev,the Ministry of Emergency Situations sent a helicopter to extinguish fire in the Borjomi-Kharagauli National Park.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia does not confirm the above mentioned statement yet.

It is still impossible to extinguish forest fire in Borjomi.The firefighters have been trying to extinguish the fire for almost 28 hours, but the strong winds are hindering the process. On the one slope of the forest, where firefighter can get only on foot due difficult terrain, new fire foci have emerged. For the second day, the fire can not be extinguished even with helicopters.

The head of the forest agency and the governor said that fire can not be liquidated today, but hopes that the fire will be localized late at night.
