The fight aganst fire in Borjomi Gorge has been going on for four days already. According to the emergency headquarters, the spread of fire has been suspended and the area is significantly reduced. There are still several locations , but no new ones have been seen last night. In the morning , the aviation, which stopped working at night resumed its efforts to liquidate the fire.

According to the Minister of Internal Affairs of Georgia, five helicopters are working at this time. The helicopters that arrived from Belarus and the crew sent from Armenia will get involved in the process soon.

"The heavy equipment and 5 helicopters are still working. The helicopter from Belarus is already in Kopitnari and will join us soon. Azerbaijani and Armenian colleagues with their technique have also joined us. We are hopeful, that , climate conditions will allow us to effectively use all these resources., " - said Giorgi Mgebrishvili.

It is not yet known that what is the damage and the cause of fire , though the investigation hasbeen launched.

The Minister of Infrastructure ,Zurab Alavidze says that the problematic period most likely will be the afternoon.
