Helicopter involved in the fire extinguishing work in Abastumani

Another fire in the forests of Samtskhe-Javakheti - fire is in the forest, near Abastumani. It is reported that the fire has already been spread over 2 hectares of land .

Fire brigades are working on the site, special helicopters has already been involved in the fire liquidation works.

According to the Minister of Internal Affairs of Georgia, up to 100 firefighters and rescue workers are mobilized on the ground . 170 employees of the MIA special task force are participating in the process as well.

Giorgi Mghebrishvili says there is no danger of spreading fire at this time.

"Up to 100 people firefighters are working on the spot, and 170 employees of the Special Task Force are taking part in the process ,"- said Giorgi Mgebrishvili.
